The City of Ottawa offers free well water testing for rural residents. Bottles may be picked up and dropped off at the Lighthouse Grocery.
While we enjoy exceptional water quality there are still incidents, manmade and natural, that can cause the water to be unsafe. During the summer the City of Ottawa tests the water quality of different areas along the river weekly. In the event ecoli or other contamination is present the city provides immediate notice to the CBBCA which we post on this website and our Facebook page.
