MEDICAL/HEALTH SERVICES;
The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) has suspended their clinic at Northwind due to Covid-19 but continues to provide its services for older adults and adults with disabilities remotely:
> Low cost transportation for people with major requirements – trips up to 30km are $10 per person (eg. return trip to Kanata), trips over 30km are $18. This service can be used for shopping trips, to attend special events, and other group activities.
> Grocery Delivery
> Meals on Wheels
> Intake and referral to appropriate community resources/agencies, e.g. Community Care Access Centre, special programs.
> Adult Day Programs for people with dementia, and for caregivers
> Training of volunteers to help deliver these and other services
