Activities, Classes, Events

Short durantion child and youth activities are provided by a number of service groups including the CBBCA, the City of Ottawa, Legion 616, area churches, the library, and the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre.  The  variety of these  events range from; Youth Drop-Ins, dances  & day trips; to Easter egg hunts, craft days, Halloween, Christmas, festivals, fishing tournaments, and carnivals; to Home Alone, Baysitting, CPR, and other classes.

When we hear about programs and registration dates we announce it first in the News Page and Posts sections of this website, then to our Facebook Group, in our daily or weekly e-letter, and paper newsletter.   We like our Facebook group because its free, members get an immediate email when news and comments are posted, and members can post comments and provide feedback. The e-letter is also free but you only receive one email a day or week with all of the news (you choose). Either way, you don’t have to keep coming to the website or going to Facebook to see what’s going on – just join the group or e-letter and forget it.

For Teens, the City of Ottawa Youth Connexions FB Group is a good way of keeping up to date on events, out trips, and pick-up points  across West Carleton.
