 SANDHILLS UPDATE

 1) T BALL & SOFTBALL: Registration closes March 29 Last chance to register. For children born 1996-2009. Prices range from $40 to $80.

 

2) SOCCER: Early registration ends March 31 Fees go up after March 31, registration closes April 22. For children born 1996-2010; girls only divisions are available for 6-15 year olds.

 

3) RISING LOTUS YOGA: Starting April 1st The spring sessions of Rising Lotus Yoga start at the centre on April 1st; classes at 6 & 7:15 pm Tuesday, 10 am Wednesday, and 5:15 Thursday.

 

4) SATURDAY MORNING SPORTS CLUB; Starting April 5th This City of Ottawa program introduces children to teamwork and a wide range of sports, it starts at the centre on April 5th; classes for 2-3 yr olds at 9:30 am and for 4-6 yr olds at 10:30 am. $38 (yes $38)

 

5) BALL HOCKEY; Season Starts April 5th

Ball hockey for 6-15 yr olds runs Saturdays until early May;  $25

 

6) RISING LOTUS – SANDHILLS YOGATHON; Sunday April 6 Tina and Rising Lotus Yoga are helping Sandhills again; join the yoga-thon on Sunday April 6. Its a yoga buffet; Six varieties, three instructors, $20.

 

7) FIT n VARIETY – Low impact fitness: Starting April 8th This City of Ottawa cardio program start at the centre on April 8th; classes  Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am. $76.75

 

8) EASTER CRAFTS; Saturday April 12

Our annual children’s Easter craft day; runs 1 pm to 5 pm. Free

 

9) EASTER KIDS DAY; Sunday April 20

The best yet; start it off with a chocolate chip or double chocolate pancake breakfast, followed by the Easter egg hunt, and then the caravan to Legion 616 for the party.

 

10) RURAL ROOT THEATRE: THINGS MY MOTHER TAUGHT ME  April 30 – May 9 Following their sold out 2013 performances RRTC presents this brand new comedy about a young couple in their first apartment. Advance tickets and seating are now available: $12 and $15

 

10) BABYSITTING CERTIFICATION;  class starts May 3 Children 12+ learn good babysitting techniques and emergency procedures. Class runs May 3 & 4 from 10 am to 3:30 pm. $79.75

 

11) MOTHER’S LUNCH;  May 4

A delightful afternoon for the ladies with home-made soups, appetizers, canapés, finger foods, and friends. just $10

 

12) SANDHILLS UPDATE; Count me In!

We have come a very long way and, with donations & commitments from over 280 individuals and corporations and many important events,  the construction is almost certain. To meet the entry criteria for basic construction we only need to raise another $39,918 from new events, memberships, and donations. The Tender for construction is expected to be ready in just 41 days; T-41. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far; you can see our generous donors at www.cbbca.ca . All donations over $20 and the $100 Sandhills Membership are tax deductable.
