Miracle Delivery Service
Our youngest flood victim watches as the volunteers of the Mennonite Disaster Service grant her Christmas wish. On Wednesday December 20th MDS returned to Constance Bay to begin construction of a new home for Kara and the girls. There are still challenges to overcome but on this Christmas one of our families saw a long overdue light at the end of the tunnel and, most importantly, hope. Thank you to all of the donors & volunteers who have made this possible and especially to MDS and Heather Lucente who, among many other things, captured this moment for us.
Undeterred by some exceptionally cold weather made extraordinary progress; our updated photo is from January 9th and now, from the outside, appears almost complete. This new home is now over two metres above the flood plain. You can follow the miracle in person at 213 Baillie.
