The CBBCA and Ottawa River Canoe Club have  announced they will present the second annual West Ottawa Dragon Boat festival on Saturday July 16, 2016 in Constance Bay. Featuring ORCCs six dragon boats the event will also include a series of paddling & children’s activities on the beach. Building on the success of the 2015 Festival organizers will be centralizing event activities at the Point Beach. The event is geared to first time and recreational paddler to give people an opportunity to experience first hand the fun of dragon boat racing. Participants are welcome to register individually, as a group, or as an entire 21 person boat. Each boat will enjoy a training session and three qualifying heats to earn a spot in the championship  race.  ORCC will be providing life jackets, equipment, and training to paddlers and the helmsman for each boat.

Proceeds from West Ottawa Dragon Boats support the recreation and water safety programs delivered by the CBBCA and ORCC.
