Youth Facilitators;
If you enjoy working with young people and want to make a positive contribution in an unstructured youth drop-in environment you may be our next Youth Facilitator. Grades 7-9
An individual to supervise the CBBCA’s grades 7 to 9 Youth Lounge. The 7-9 Lounge will open from 5 or 6pm to 9pm one week-night evening per week. Successful applicants will receive $17/hr and must pass a Police Records Check.
Grades 9-12
An individual aged 19 to 30 to supervise the CBBCA’s grades 9 to 12 Youth Lounge. The Lounge will open from 5 or 6pm to 9pm one week-night evening per week. Successful applicants will receive $17/hr and must pass a Police Records Check.
Rink & Facility Supervisor; starting mid December
The Rink & Facility Supervisor is a mature adult who enjoys walking and being around young people. The Supervisor supervises the Northwind Centre and outdoor rink and performs outdoor maintenance. The Supervisor enforces a basic code of conduct for facility users including deterring disruptive behaviour, bullying, vandalism and, use of alcohol, drugs, and vaping. They also use various machines to perform rink & outdoor maintenance, including flooding. The Supervisor works two evenings per week for a total of 10 hours at a rate of $15/hr and must pass a Police Records Check. A larger Rink Crew management role may be negotiated. Rink Crew; starting mid December – sorry, these positions have been filled for 2019/2020
The members of the Rink Crew are at least 16 years of age, can be counted on to work until 10:30 pm without supervision, and enjoy the winter. Members provide a minimal level of supervision and perform rink maintenance, including flooding, using various machines. Members start in mid-December building the rink and then in January work one or two specific evenings each week with additional hours based on weather & availability. Shifts can be switched between members for exams, vacations, etc. Members average 6 to 10 hours per week at a rate of $15/hr. Reply to this job at info@cbbca.ca
