On April 21st, 2018 the CBBCA held it’s Annual General Meeting. President Angela Bernhardt reviewed what was an extraordinary year of collaboration and accomplishment for the Association. She confirmed she was stepping down after 3 years of leading the CBBCA through unprecedented challenges, success, and expansion. She expressed appreciation for retiring Directors Tracey Bloom, Bob McGhee, and Bob Dupuis  and reflected on the tragic loss and contributions of Sports Director Gayla Weatherall-Ryan who passed away suddenly this month. With the completion of Project Sandhills expected in early 2019 Angela called on the community to step forward to lead the creation of new priorities and an enhanced vision.

The board election was conducted by EIi El-Chantiry. The new board is the CBBCA’s largest since 2014 when it embarked on the implementation of Project Sandhills; 26 Directors & Officers and 5 Associate Directors will lead the association in 2018 including 9 new Directors. All positions were acclaimed.
